FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ludacrust Pizzeria Brings Edgy Neapolitan Flava to Taunton

Opening Night: Friday 3rd October, 5pm

Taunton’s pizza game is about to level up. Ludacrust — the town’s bold new pizzeria — will open its doors on Friday 3rd October at 5pm with an unforgettable launch night: “speed dating for pizza.” For just £10, diners can taste their way through the entire pizza menu, moving station to station every 10 minutes. Groups of six will be admitted every 10 minutes, making for a fund, high-energy evening. Early arrival is advised — space is limited, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. This is a one-time event.

Behind Ludacrust is Andrew “Jumper” Collins, a former Royal Navy Air Traffic Controller who traded military precision for pizza dough. After carving out a following on the Somerset street food scene, Ludacrust now drops anchor in the heart of the town centre. Along the way, Jumper has picked up a Taste of the West award, proving the pizzas aren’t just hype.

The menu is rooted in Neapolitan tradition but globally inspired. Expect the classics — The OG margherita – alongside playful creations like Mom’s Spaghetti and the Bad MF. The dough is naturally proved, feather-light, and unlike anything else available in Taunton.

Ludacrust will open 11am–10pm daily.

11am-2pm you can hit the grab-and-go sandwich service which will feature fresh bread straight from the oven, filled with a whole load of nonsense – and a soft drink – for £9. Pizza will be available all day, every day. Mondays mean Margh Monday: a margh (pizza) and a margh (cocktail) for £15.

Ludacrust is big on local links too, collaborating with Dough Bros and working with local breweries to keep the community at the core. “Our mission is simple,” he says. “To elevate the standard of pizza available to the people of Taunton. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Ludacrust can be found on Magdalene Lane — between Mary Magdalene Church and M&S. Follow on socials for updates: @ludacrust.
